R Jeffery Grondel, MD, is an experienced board-certified orthopaedic surgeon practicing at Orthopaedic Institute of Henderson in Henderson, Nevada.
A graduate of Brigham Young University, Dr. Grondel received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine at Salt Lake City in 1988. After medical school, Dr. Grondel completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University, a fellowship in orthopedic trauma surgery at Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon, and a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center.
Dr. Grondel is board certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Academy of Sports Medicine.
After completing his sports medicine and shoulder fellowship, Dr. Grondel relocated to southern Nevada, where he has continued to pioneer arthroscopic shoulder surgical techniques. He also continues to advance arthroscopic surgery techniques in all major joints. He has advanced training in sports medicine and continues to promote sports medicine surgical techniques and sports health. He also is involved in cartilage replacement surgery.
Dr. Grondel has instructed orthopedic surgeons in the latest arthroscopic surgical techniques and sports-related injuries. He continues to be active in orthopedic surgery education and conferences. Currently, Dr. Grondel serves as Chief of Surgery at St. Rose Hospitals and on various committees there and at the Parkway Surgery Center, where he is an active proponent for patient care improvement.
